First Entry and Dyslexia

There. My first blog entry, 2 years after a promise made to my Sexiest cuzzie. See, I do keep my promise, however long I procastinate! :D


.. Ok, I've gotten past the first sentence.. Now what?....

I still don't know what to write. But anyway, the word dyslexic crossed my mind so I looked it up online and found this website which describes some of the traits of a dyslexic.. and damn, I'm pretty convinced that I might be dyslexic...

So, (let's just start with the Good stuff ;p ) a dyslexic's supposed to be intuitive and insightful dude who could see stuff from a different and macro perspective.. Hmm..and has vivid imaginations (sounds like paranoia to me ;p ). and yea, curious and creative.

now the bad news... a Dyslexic dude:


Seems intelligent but reads slow
Doesn't always understands what is said to them
Uses analogies to talk and explain things.
Highly aware of their environment but seem to be lost
Messy room, desk, locker or note book
Difficulty organizing ideas to write a letter
Difficulty expressing oneself
Hesitant in speech


Well, I think the descriptions are pretty spot-on, because I take hours and hours to organise my thoughts just to write a decent email or report.. takes ages to finish a book, just can't get my spellings and those chinese characters right, and that I just can't get folks to understand what the heck I meant without telling stories to illustrate my point... and of course, I'm MESSY..

Anyway, here's the best/ worst part of the topic...


Dyslexia is the ability to see a thing from many points of view, all at once. The primary problem for the dyslexic is that he is capable of processing so much information that it gets garbled, distorted or frozen. There is so much input that, if not filtered what begins as a special, insightful talent, is reduced to a tragic mass of confusion and disability.



How sad.
