MP3 player got sick of my constant abuse and force-feeding of Leehom's songs that it decided to sneak off yesterday, so now I'm officially music-less for a day. Withdrawal symptoms are setting in. The last I've checked the mirror, I looked like this:

I think I'd better get a new player soon before I start hurling (HUGE) stuff at innocent folks who cross my path....

...Recommendations for MP3 players, anyone?

During one of the hectic afternoons at work, I glanced out of the window and saw something very surreal.

A aura of colors in the afternoon sky..

..and a heart-shaped cloud with a heart-shaped hole within.

Nature's Salvador Dali at work.

Emo..

No more sunny skies in the afternoons these days..
Summer's almost over..
So comes the melancholic time of the year..

We're Moving

Moss Princess and family are moving.
Mossy doesn't like the packing at all and grumbles like mad at the very sight of the stack of flattened boxes waiting for her the moment she wakes up.

Thank goodness Mama came up with the ingenious idea to label the boxes using color flags.
Pink flags for the kitchen please!

And Mossy is SooooOOOOoooo pleased that she'd managed to squeeze and fit all her shoe boxes nicely into 1 big box- It's no mean feat when the boxes comes in different sizes and length..

So we made some progress :)

but seriously, packing 16 years' of stuff is no joke. It's almost like emptying out whole house

Oh, and it's especially annoying when you get hungry in the wee hours- The fridge's empty, and cooking was out of question because the pots and pans are all buried somewhere in one of those pink labelled boxes.
A Hungry Mossy is an Angry Mossy
Fortunately, Mossy found blackened banana in the most remote corner of the fridge so she didn't get that upset. The banana ooked gross and tasted kinda gross.. but it'll do...

.... at least I'm still alive and kicking.
Ok.. back to the packing. :(

Mossy's Back

Moss Princess managed to return from her conquest, bruised and aching all over, and still in one piece. However, she fell on her head when she was thrown off a quad bike, so went a lil bonkers.. She now hobbles around like an old hag and is feeling very cranky to be back at work so soon.

MP's Weekend Plan

Moss Princess is off to East Malaysia to attempt to conquer Mount Kinabalu. If all goes well, she should be standing tall at 13,435 feet above sea level watching sunrise this Saturday.

Random Ramblings..

I went jogging today at the gym (the weather's been a kinda crazy these days). Ít's the 3rd time in my life working out on a treadmill and I still don't like it- your jog like mad and you'll find yourself still at the same old spot.. and you have to put up with tuneless boom-boom music (or rather noise).. it gets worse when you're stuck with a dude with bad B.O running beside you.

Anyway, I made good progress today , and managed to finish 5km in half an hour.. haha.. this is a big deal for me alright, considering the fact that I've never, ever try running beyond 3.2km (that's the distance for my high school fitness exams) at one go..... So yay! I did it! :)

Oh, a transexual friend of mine recently had her (his) boobs done. My, those were HUGE boobs...

Anyway, to celebrate her new-found curves, she took some pics of herself (and her HUGE boobs) and proudly posted them on friendster. Everyone was happy to know that she'd found herself.. except for some wee bit of problems- She was not wearing a top in the pics. And she was not wearing a bra.. or a towel.. or any other garments. And she works in an FI (you know FIs are allergic to any relation to sexy stuff .. it's bad for their rep). And she's in an Asian society..

The last I've heard was that her boss fainted (ok, she didn't really faint) and dragged her aside for some serious counselling and got her to do some damage control before she does an Edison Chen..

Hmm.. I wonder how her future prospective boss would react if the dude does job interview screening using google and saw those pics.............

Fullstop for a subject title??

Today I had a minor argument with the secretary. I was about to submit my report when she insisted that I had to amend the report, because I did not use fullstops at the end of each subject title.

Her idea of the correct format was:
Subject titles must have Fullstops.

My idea was:
Subject titles do not have Fullstops

Well, I decided to give in after some 10mins of pointless arguing (the report was due in 20mins' then.. and she refused to accept the report unless I amend it.)

So, I added fullstops to the subject titles.. and now the titles look like this:
Subject titles should not have Fullstops, but I added them anyway.

Well, I thought all was well then until she made a comment, which left me flabbergasted.. ''I think you should underline the fullstops in the subject titles".

!#*%$@^&*?>?!!

Man, some folks can be so anal!!

Anyway, I told her that she could underline the fullstops if she must, but I prefer to save trees and printer toner (she's always complaining about folks bursting her budget you see).. And that I still believe subject titles don't come with fullstops.

Oh well... Can someone enlighten me please? ;p

A Random Entry

I'm feeling bored today, so I rummaged through the pile of mails on the coffee table.

I got a card.

It read:

Seems like an invitation to a feminist club.

And then I checked out the weird- looking graphic beneath the words...

...which doesn't quite make sense...

...I scrutinised the card for a moment....

Ha! Invitation to join the Brazilian Waxing Club.. Giddit?

Now that's tongue-in-the-cheek advertising.

Sexy Cuzzies And The City

The past few weeks have been busy, busy, busy.. to the extent I can't remember what has happened.. So Thank goodness for the Chinese New Year holidays, I finally get around to complete this entry and post up the pics that I've owed Tofu and Jordan for almost a month.

Here's some of my favourite snapshots of my Sexy Cuzzies And The (little red-dot) City....
Tofu and Jordan's 1st day together... So we met up.
Cuzz bonding starts. and so begins the love-hate relatioship between Tofu and Phoenix. First, they love each other.

and then they don't.

We checked out a military museum tucked away in a corner of the island, called 'The Reflections at Bukit Chandu'.. as recommended by Tofu. (Yeah, Tofu's a visitor and he knows more about the lil' red-dot island than us local.. man, I am so ashamed ;p )

And then we made our way to West Coast.

.....saw an impressive pile of bullshit.....

And a dangerous- looking larger-than-life spider web.
Tofu and I conquered the web..

and showed off our pedunkadunk (I have absolutely no idea how to spell that...) to Phoenix and Jordan
We came across a stretch of canopy looked kinda romantic.

...So Tofu got down on bended knee profess his undying admiration for Phoenix.
Phoenix was dumbstruck, but nevertheless accepted Tofu's affection with open arms. So now they love each other again. Jordan and I were overjoyed.

We found the most idyllic MacDonald's nearby where we snacked and discussed one of the most important discoveries on MacDonald's - That Chicken McNuggets exists in only 3 shapes.

Oh yeah.. and Asian Chicken McNuggets taste better.

We also discovered that Silvia, our cousin in Canada, has got a car named after her. I haven't seen Silvia for years, but man, I'm guessing that she must be a real hot chick to have a car named after her.

We bounced off to East Coast Park for some bicycling and roller blading. Tofu taught me to draw circles on blades so that I could hook up some cute guys the next time.. and I bullied Jordan into carrying my purse around his neck. I think he must have hated me. (Don't worry cuzz, rest assured that you still look sexy with my purse around your neck.. Hehe... )

Dinner was a treat from Godpa (Phoenix's dad), and Dog ears joined us. While the rest discussed important matters of state, I put my paparrazzi skills to use. And yea, here's the answers to my 'Know Thy Cousins' quiz... Tofu's (a), Phoenix's (b), Dog-ears' (c) and Jordan's (d) (check out the pics)

Leah and Mia did us girl-cousins proud coz they were that close to getting all their guesses right.. which goes to show girl-cousins are smarter. Period.

Next day, we took a walk around the little red-dot city and said 'Hi' to the Merlion and the durian-microphone-looking Esplanade. And we made another important discovery... That the Merlion is a Mister. You'll need to see the mini Merlion to believe this.

I got to pose with my sexiest cuzz by the river.

See the 'Rotomatik' logo? This power plant is one of the many masterpieces of Godpa and Co.

Cow treated us to some awesome chocs by the bay.

While the gentlemen discussed manly issues, I tied a knot on cherry stick with my tongue.

and then we headed off to Sentosa, an island outside off lil red-dot island. Jordan got bored and did a sexy dance to entertain us.

We had 2 rounds of butt massage at the Underwater World, practised yoga within the holes in the walls...

jumped through the walls

and flew through the walls.
.. until Tofu nearly fell off the wall. We decided that was enough and bounced off to see the big (ugly) merlion before sunset.

Mission Accomplished!

Dog-ears joined us for dinner at Chinatown. She was so busy during the day that she had no time to dig her nose and so she just had to do it before dinner. 'Boogie digging is absolutely cathartic', so she claimed. Ugh.

Dinner was 40 sticks of satay, coconut juice and ketupat...

But Tofu decided to have Phoenix's head for dinner instead.. (see, I told you they have this love-hate relationship going on.. ) and Phoenix decided to have my head for dinner. Gruesome.
Jordan left the next day. We popped by JB for some fiery curry noodles and milo with Jet and P.Beannie's papa and mama. Tofu ate up the lethal-looking stuff and passed the test on tolerance for spicy food!

On the night of Tofu's 2nd last day, the gentlemen cozied up for one last manly pic.. Godpa would be off to S.Korea that night, Phoenix would be off to school next morning, and Tofu to Taiwan...

and this is the supposedly farewell shot of Tofu and I (I was supposed to be back at work next morning). We are supposed to look like those African figurines whose heads are stacked on top of each other. (Sorry guys, I don't know what it's called ;p )

Tofu's last day in lil red-dot island. I managed to negotiate another 1/2day off with my boss to see Tofu off.
So Tofu, with his black Sammies (his Samsonite, I mean) worked his charms and managed to hitch a ride to airport in Phoenix's mum's car.
We took the real farewell shot..
and Tofu jetted off to the bigger island Formosa for his much-anticipated part II of his holiday.
Adieus!
